French youngsters embrace civic duty
More than 100,000 young French people carried out civic duty missions last year for between six and twelve months, the National Civic Service Agency announced.
“Civic service provides the chance to put time, energy and intelligence into helping others,” said Youth Minister Patrick Kanner.
The agency organises work for 16- to 25-year-old volunteers.
