Mars mission targets moon rock samples
A joint space mission by France and Japan could be the first to bring back samples of Mars moon rock as the countries have signed a deal for a landing in 2024.
They would send a Japanese lander to Phobos, one of the two Martian moons, and return with samples. France would supply the instruments to complete the mission.
