Monaco launches Covid-19 health pass system for EU travel
The scheme is similar to the French one and allows people to show proof of their Covid-19 status through vaccination certificates and test results

Monaco has launched its own Covid-19 health pass system, similar to the one in France, that can be used within the principality to show people’s Covid-19 status or as part of the EU-wide travel scheme.
People can show their Covid status by:
Presenting a certificate that shows they are fully vaccinated against Covid-19; presenting a test result that shows they were positive with the virus between two weeks and six months ago; or presenting or a certificate that shows they tested negative within the past 48 hours.
When people are issued with their Covid test or vaccination certificates in Monaco, they will have the option to get one that has a QR code compatible with an EU-wide travel system called Covid Digital Certificate.
This EU-verifiable QR code is accepted in all EU countries and Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland, and can be used to show your Covid-19 status when travelling between these countries.
If people choose not to upgrade their certificate to be compatible with the EU system, their certificate will have a QR code that can be used within Monaco and France.
This will allow them access to large events where proof of Covid-19 status is required.
In France, people must present proof of their Covid-19 status when attending events of over 1,000 people.
Certificates with QR codes compatible with the EU can also be used to attend large events in France and Monaco.
The reason Monaco asks people if they want to upgrade their certificates to be compatible with the EU system is that some personal information will be transmitted to French health authorities. The data is not stored.
You can access your vaccination certificate if you were vaccinated against Covid-19 in Monaco via this link.
