Mormons open their first temple in France
France's first Mormon temple has been opened in Chesnay, Yvelines, just a few hundred metres from the entrance to Versailles.
Opened despite local religious opposition, the ceremony was attended by former American Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who was a Mormon missionary in France 50 years ago. There are 38,000 followers in France.
