Poule au pot to stir tastebuds
Semaine du Goût is meant to get people, especially the young, to take more interest in what they eat
THIS year’s Semaine du Goût (Taste Week), October 11-17, is meant to get people, especially the young, to take more interest in what they eat.
Taste Week also marks the 400th anniversary of the death of Henri IV, who said he wanted every family to be able to afford a chicken for their pot and one special event, the “taste tables” in restaurants will offer the poule au pot or a special seasonal menu.
Children will get “taste lessons” from food professionals and there will be “taste workshops”, such as open days, tours and talks for families.
