Radical climate change solution
Robin Maule ( Children right to strike over the environment , Letters, March) has apparently failed to ask himself the central question: why is climate change such a crucial issue now?
The answer is mass production. There is only one “solution”. Abandon mass production, and return to handmade goods which only the wealthy elite can afford. Manifestly, that is out of the question.
Ironically, Mr Maule has also underestimated the scale of the problem when he claims there is a technological solution.
Schoolchildren protesting are as much a part of the problem, having built their lives around mass-produced gadgets like computers and mobile phones.
