Will allocated seats separate us?
Francisca RIGAUDWILLIAMS, by email
EASYJET’S plan to start allocating
seats is interesting but
I wonder how they will do it.
My husband and I book
under different family names
as the new surname is not yet
on my passport – does this
mean we must travel separately
as easyJet say they will
try to keep families together?
We always enjoy sitting next
to each other, chatting, reading
and also from a safety
point of view, if something
happens my husband might
be able to help me, or I might
help him. What if we are each
at opposite ends of the plane?
Imagine the worst case scenario,
an accident is about to
happen, we are separated and
can't even hold each other…
EasyJet says allocation will
be done when booking so the
seats should be together. Those
who wish to ensure they sit
together should pre-book seats
