Woman wins Nice casino jackpot with just €0,50 bet
A young woman who played just €0,50 in a Nice casino slot machine has won a jackpot of almost €35 000.
Known only as Manon, the 18-year-old girl entered the Casino Ruhl in the city on Monday September 25, with just €10 in her pocket, intending to play that amount for fun, and spend nothing more.
Upon playing €0,50-worth of tokens in a “fruit machine”-style game named “Bonus Time”, she was astounded to see that the machine immediately returned thousands of coins to her, in a jackpot worth €34 991.
The casino confirmed the win to local news site France 3, saying that it “happens fairly regularly. This summer, we have had two or three people who have won this much”.
However, this kind of win is rare on a machine of this type.
The 18-year-old told the casino that she would use the money to buy her first car and fund her university studies.
