Diesel prices are slowly beginning to drop across France today (April 10) following a peak of €2.398 per litre on Thursday morning.

Prices should drop by up to 10c per litre at larger service stations today, said government ministers, affecting both petrol and diesel (gazole) prices.

Smaller stations should see prices begin to drop over the weekend or the start of next week.

The graphic below shows real-time information on average diesel prices in France.

It takes government information from the prix-carburants.gouv.fr fuel comparison website, assessing prices at more than 9,000 service stations to calculate national averages.

It is updated hourly – you can hover your computer mouse over the graph to see price changes.

A graph for average petrol prices is not available, however these are expected to drop back below €2 per litre today.
