The first major deadline for spring income tax declarations (concerning 2024 income) falls tonight (May 22). 

It applies to people living in 19 of France’s mainland departments – as well as non-residents who must declare information.

The tiered deadlines are based on the number of the department you live in, spaced out to prevent tax authorities from being overwhelmed by last-minute declarations. 

Once completed, you have until the end of June to alter your declaration.
