Will the women’s race pass near you?

While the men’s Tour de France 2026 kicks off this weekend, the women’s competition will follow in August, offering even more opportunities to enjoy the cycling event of the summer.

Unlike the men’s race, which lasts for three weeks, the women’s tour is shorter, running from August 1-9.

The cyclists will leave from Lausanne (Switzerland), before covering a total of 1,175km through Franche-Comté, Burgundy, Rhône-Alpes and Provence, finishing on Nice’s seafront walkway, the Promenade des Anglais.

The tour is split into nine stages with no rest days.

On the day itself, the Tour de France Race Centre lets you follow the progress of the race live so you can see when it is nearing your chosen spot.
