One man who will not need to worry about shedding the extra Christmas kilos and who has already got his New Year’s Resolution in place is endurance cyclist Neil Moss. He aims to ride Le Mans 24-Hour race to raise £1,000.

Computer software engineer Mr Moss plans to ride his bike 400 miles/645km in just one day at the Le Mans 24 hours cycling race while raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Mr Moss, who lives near Olonzac in Hérault, will be 47 when he starts the race in August, and is already into a rigorous training programme. He goes out on his bike at least three times a week and ...
