Easy-look guide for going out during curfew hours in France
We explain the reasons that you are allowed to leave your home between 20:00 to 06:00 when the curfew comes into effect on December 15
11 December 2020

France's second national lockdown will end on December 15 and be replaced with a 20:00 to 06:00 curfew across the whole country.
The only exception to this will be December 24, when the curfew measures will be relaxed to allow families to celebrate a French style Christmas together.
People will still be allowed to go out during the curfew hours for certain specific reasons. If they do, they must carry with them an exemption certificate (attestation de déplacement). The forms will be made available on the government's website soon.
Below, see our chart showing the reasons people are allowed to leave their home during the curfew hours.
