Benefit claim
The article concerning child benefit in France compared to the UK (April’s Connexion) is completely misleading!
In France, you get no child benefit for your first child, then for your second you get just €130 a month – this is considerably less than you would receive in the UK – £34.40 a week which equates to £149 or €171 a calendar month at €1.15 to the €. Admittedly for subsequent children you get €196 extra.
