Préfecture experiences
Having lost the carte grise for my 50-year-old “véhicule de collection” I applied for a duplicate online. The process is complex, user unfriendly and obscure. Having finally completed the process I have received a series of uninformative messages. I have not, however, got the desired duplicate.
Being a firm believer in Eyeball Mk I, I am going to arm myself with the documentation and visit our préfecture which has always proved helpful and friendly.
On the other hand, in view of Brexit we have applied for cartes de séjour. We downloaded the forms, assembled the required information, handed in the applications at the préfecture and this morning (three weeks later) picked up our Cartes. Waiting time for each session: about 20 minutes.
