Ready to pay price of vote

I note Kevin Challis’ letter (Feb) about expats’ ‘arrogance’ in their belief in a right to live in France. I don’t know who he knows, but the expats who have spoken to me about Brexit are nervous for the future. They certainly don’t believe it is some God-given right.

I voted to leave the EU, as I wanted to play my small part in getting my country out from under the heel of the EU – a bankrupt, vindictive bureaucracy, with no thought (as always) beyond increasing its own power and influence.

It has never even pretended to have the good of the European peoples at heart. I voted knowing that I may personally have a price to pay for a British exit.

Kevin Challis has no right to criticise people who have tried to put the interests of their country before their own.
