Almost 70 places in France will stop receiving post on a daily basis during March 2023, as part of a new experiment by La Poste.

The 68 sites, which are spread across the country, will move to receiving most post every other day only. Only urgent mail, daily newspapers, and larger parcels will be delivered on ‘non-post’ days.

The trial is part of La Poste’s work to adapt its service to the declining rate of normal post being sent, it has said.

It comes as the service implements new digital means to send post, such as scanning and printing urgent letters on-site, buying postage online, and using digital stamps.
