Izi way to find a handyman in France
THE long and boring search for someone to fix a boiler or install a radiator looks set to be a thing of the past after EDF launched its Izi online directory of available workers.
Izi (izi-by-edf.fr) – available in Nantes, Rennes, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Paris, Marseille, Nice, Lyon and Lille – hopes to roll out across 10 other medium-sized cities by the end of the year.
Individuals and small businesses will be able to arrange work and callouts from accredited businesses on the site, and will also be able to get remote estimates for jobs, via site-hosted video calls. The site also offers a “well-done or redone” guarantee for work carried out and promises that all jobs will come with “the assurance of paying the right price”.
