Nuns film short musical comedy to help raise money for wheelchair facilities
Sisters from Saône-et-Loire have set up a musical to finance arrangements to keep elderly nuns in their convent.
The nuns created the online musical comedy in order to finance the necessary arrangements to help elderly nuns stay at the convent.
After one of the sisters had to go to a nursing home, the nuns decided to raise funds to for wheelchair access.
The musical clip of the Apostolic Sisters of Saint-Jean, in the village of Semur-en-Brionnais was posted on December 10.
Today, the video been watched more than 106,000 times on YouTube and has raised more than €135,000 of its €150,000 target.
“We made a video to present our project and put joy into the heart of this confinement. We opted for a little musical,” the nuns said on Christian crowdfunding platform Credofunding.
