Bank charge
We had a shock this month when we noticed bank charges of €6 per quarter on our French bank statement.
A watchdog called AFUB (Association Française des Usagers des Banques) says this is happening more and more but you can refuse to pay. Apparently the bank can then send you a recorded delivery letter and close your account, but so far this has not happened to anyone.
We would be interested to hear anyone else’s experience.
