Boulangerie bandit strikes again
A robber who steals only viennoiseries is being hunted by the Paris police
A ROBBER whose only target is viennoiseries has struck again in Paris’s 19th arrondissement.
He stole pastries worth about €10 at around 7.30 in the morning.
The man, aged about 40, has attacked around a dozen Paris boulangeries this winter – his unusual modus operandi being to enter with a fake-looking gun and face uncovered and politely request croissants and pains au chocolat before making off with them.
He never asks for money and has not stolen more than €20-worth of merchandise at a time.
The Paris police judiciaire is investigating.
