Bruni song leak sparks probe
Carla Bruni's Italian rendition of La Douce France has been leaked via the site Midi Libre
CARLA BRUNI's Italian rendition of the Trenet classic La Douce France has been leaked online, prompting an investigation.
The Midi Libre website published the track, which Bruni's agent, Bertrand de Labbey, says was lifted from a stolen from a master version.
Labbey said that Bruni could sue and that an investigation was taking place into how the tape got into the hands of Midi Libre.
The 50-second clip, a cover of Charles Trenet's La Douce France entitled Dolce Francia, was copied and placed on a number of other sites.
Bruni is working on her fourth album, but no release date has been sent.
More recently she recorded a version of David Bowie's Absolute Beginners as part of a tribute album to the British artist.
Panned as a “massacre” by some critics, adored by some Bruni fans, you can judge for yourself below.
