Elysée hosts a ‘Made in France’ show
A toothbrush made from recycled plastic, a mobile solar panel station and an anti-wind umbrella were among 120 products on show at the Elysée at a “Made in France” exhibition

The two-day show featured at least one product from each department and attracted 10,000 visitors.
Traditional products such as Roquefort cheese, mustard, madeleines, watches and glasses were also showcased.
The project was the idea of President Emmanuel Macron, to promote French companies, their savoir-faire and unique Made in France products.
Economy Secretary Agnès Pannier-Runacher said: “Made in France is increasingly popular with French people.
“They are sensitive to the idea of preserving jobs in our regions but it’s also a matter of pride when they see, for example, that France is the only country in the world, along with the US, to be able to manufacture an aircraft from beginning to end.
“With the exhibition, we also wanted to show that it is possible to produce in France and to buy French.”
