Cardboard public transport tickets in Ile-de-France are being phased out as the region brings in a prepaid Navigo Easy pass to replace carnets de dix or single tickets.

New cards costing €2 are bought at Métro stations and can hold up to 29 journeys. You see the balance as you pass through a turnstile. Carnets will stop in 2024.
