New edition of the AAWE Guide to Education in France now available
Sponsored feature: This publication has been a reference guide to bilingual education in France for 35 years. AAWE, the Association of American Women in Europe, is known as an authority on bilingual education in the Anglophone community in France, helping international families to flourish in France and their children to thrive in school.
This new edition of the AAWE Guide to Education in France features a directory of hundreds of bilingual and international schools all around the country. The directory includes information such as fees, curriculum, diploma, transport, schedule, Wednesday and holiday programs, extracurricular activities, and facilities for students with special needs.
Covering preschool through high school, topics range from choosing a school to understanding the acronyms and terms of the French education system. Education professionals and experienced parents discuss school choices, bilingualism, and reinforcing English. The go-to reference for families who need to understand the French educational system and schooling options, the AAWE Guide to Education in France accompanies international parents researching their child’s school options in France.
This edition offers expanded French/English glossaries, including terms and acronyms for accommodation and special needs, and a section of model “notes to the teacher” which are handy tools, helping any parent wrestling with grammar at breakfast-time!
As a companion to this new edition, AAWE is launching the "AAWE Education Insights" blog at www.aaweparis.org/schools, which will discuss current issues around education and bilingualism and provide essential information from experienced parents, education professionals, parent associations, and experts in child development.
With decades of experience running the ‘Which School is Right for My Child?’ school fair, as well as Paris College Day, AAWE draws on a wealth of knowledge of bilingualism and school choices.
The new 9th edition of the AAWE Guide to Education in France is available at www.aaweparis.org/books, where you will also find its sister publication about university studies in France and overseas, Beyond the Bac - Higher Education in France and Abroad. These two books together provide up-to-date information on the wide scope of pre-school, primary, secondary through Master level learning for our anglophone community in France and farther afield.
