Road deaths rise but annual trend is down
Despite a 4.3% rise in the number of road deaths in March the number killed in the first quarter of 2017 has fallen by 3.7% on last year. It follows three years of numbers rising leading to increased regulation.
In all, 266 people died in road accidents in March but this 4.3% rise came against a backdrop of a 20% rise in the number of injured and a 13% rise in accidents.
