Southeast UK – or just London?
Your correspondent Dr David Cottam glibly states that the southeast of the UK is prosperous and, by default, northern areas suffer (letters, December 2016). Yet the government’s documents on State spending clearly show the South is given less per head than the North. Perhaps he means London?
