TO MAKE moving house easier, you can notify a variety of public bodies and large firms at the same time.

A declaration of changed details can be made on a government site: https://mdel.mon.service-public.fr/je-change-de-coordonnees.html

Create an account on the site and then go into the mes démarches (my procedures), click on the annuaire des démarches (procedures directory) and then déclaration de changement de données (declaration of data change). You will need bills or other correspondence from the bodies you want to notify with account details.

Bodies you can notify include Cpam (health), EDF (electricity) and GDF Suez (gas), the tax office, the Pôle Emploi (job centre), bodies dealing with state pensions and Agirc and Arrco (dealing with the top-up pensions earned by employees), La Poste and and the caisse d’allocations familiales (family allowance service).

You can include details of other people in your household moving with you.

The free service can be used two months before or after moving house.
