This mayor is unhelpful
Is it just me, or have any expats out there had a negative experience with a mayor?
I have been cyber blasted with an electrical humming sound for the last 18 months in every room of my house as well in the garden.
On visiting the mayor, some interest was shown by an employee, who visited my house, heard the humming sound and said two transformers were installed two years ago in the end of my street.
I also have an electric water pump opposite. The suggestion was to complain to EDF, who are almost impossible to contact.
My question is therefore, why do we pay rates to people who have the power (supposedly) to act on their constituents’ behalf and do not basically do their jobs?
Or am I a naive expat simply expecting the unobtainable?
