Email or call tax offices in France – don’t visit

People should not visit their local tax offices in France during the Covid-19 crisis, the government has said in a statement.

Most of the procedures can be carried online (https://www.impots.gouv.fr/portail/particulier) and the deadline for declarations has been deferred both for online and the printed forms.

This is also the case for people living outside of France who are declaring French-sourced income. Find the new dates here.

If you have tax questions, you can ask via your online space or by calling tax office advisers on 0809 401 401.

A telephone appointment is also possible "in case of emergency" and "on-site reception is only possible in case of absolute necessity and only by appointment".

For information, all printed 2020 Connexion Income Tax Guides ordered between now and tomorrow midday (April 10) will be posted out Friday-mid afternoon. Some postal delays are expected but we are organising so as to get guides into the postal service as early as we can. Guides are available in PDF format too. See here.
