About 7.3million homes built before 1974 do not meet safety norms and Promo­telec works with in­dustry professionals to offer an internet E-evaluation.

Its site tinyurl.com/nycgpx2 gives advice in a week but is a basic check and does not count as a proper diagnostic as needed by landlords from July 1 for new or continuing tenants.
