Hospital uses horses for child therapy

New treatment methods are supposed to help with communication and behavioural issues

Children with learning difficulties in Tours are getting the chance to work with horses as part of their treatment and therapy.

Specially trained smaller-sized horses help children as young as five who suffer with developmental issues to communicate better and become less anxious or stressed as part of the initiative at the paediatric psychiatry unit at the CHRU in the Indre-et-Loire city.
