13 MPs back bid to keep expat WFPs
A ‘respectable’ number of MPs have now signed up to help – but more are still needed
THIRTEEN MPs have now backed a bid to annul the regulations removing Winter Fuel payment from expats in France.
Conservative MP Roger Gale, who tabled the motion, has been joined by four party colleagues, plus three Labour MPs, four Liberal Democrats and a Green.
Sir Roger had told Connexion that anything over 10 would be “respectable”, however more signatures are still needed to draw attention to the bid and – hopefully – trigger a debate in parliament before a deadline of February 9.
