Donkey commuter slows down traffic
Commuters slowed to a snail's pace near Saint-Vit in Jura as man heads to work with a donkey and cart
COMMUTERS travelling between Dampierre and Saint-Vit, in Jura, have been slowed to a snail’s pace by a craftsman heading to work with a donkey and cart - because he has lost his driving licence.
A sign on the back of the cart told approaching motorists: “I have too many points, so I have no licence, but I have to go to work. Sorry for the inconvenience.”
Le Progres reported that 2.5km of tailbacks were reported at 7am on Friday, on the RD673 between Dampierre and Saint-Vit, as the man made his slow and steady way to work at Grandfontaine.
