An old trend is coming back – returning glass drink bottles to receive a deposit or discount.

A third of shops in Alsace are working with Alsace Consigne to offer money-off vouchers (10-20 cents) when consumers bring back their bottles.
The bottles can be re-used for six years, creating environmental benefits. Toulouse has also reinstated the deposit system in 20 shops.
