Is it a bin? Is it a safety camera? How a graphic designer cut speeding near his home

A GRAPHIC designer has come up with a unique way to stop cars speeding on the road outside his Hérault home - he has decorated his bin so it looks like a safety camera.
Mark Gimferrer, who lives in Castelnau-le-Lez, near Montpellier, said that cars regularly travel at more than the 50kph speed limit on the busy street outside his home. "Speed is a big problem," he told Connexion. "Many people have complained about it."
He decided to do something rather than complain. His solution was simple but surprisingly effective - he disguised his wheelie bin as a radar camera.
It took little more than some thought, some stickers and paint, but Mr Gimferrer said his bin-radar has slowed traffic. "I just wanted to stop the speeding. I walk along that pavement with my three-year-old daughter - and it's dangerous," he added.
Except for a few motorists, the majority of people have welcomed his initiative. "Most take it with a smile," he said.
