Mercury fillings are banned from July
Europe-wide ban arrives in France
Mercury fillings will be banned for some patients, including under-15s and pregnant or breast-feeding women, from July and replaced by resin or glass ceramic.
The Europe-wide ban comes into force in France then and follows US research showing that people with eight or more fillings had blood/mercury levels 150% higher than normal.
