Net pains in rural France

I would like to issue a call to arms for “Equality of Internet Access”, as promised by the French government, an ideal that has been failed by the
providers it was entrusted to.

Internet companies started with an easy roll-out of superfast broadband in cities, moving eventually to poorer regions but ending up with poor internet services for country families and businesses.

The providers claim there is insufficient money to bring fibre to rural France but they should have made it their first priority and fulfilled their brief from the government.

Commercial considerations should be treated as less important than democratic equality. With government bodies demanding internet communication, contact is increasingly impossible to those outside towns and cities.

I can read emails only after midnight. Poor 3G, satellite internet dependent on no rain and wind! Is this égalité?
