Social charges refunds
MY HUSBAND and I have lived in France for 14 years and have found The Connexion paper interesting and very useful.
Having read your article in the June 2016 edition entitled “Government’s anti-social response to charges payout ruling”, we followed your advice and claimed, that month, a refund of the social taxes we had paid for the four years from 2012 to 2016.
Following miscellaneous letters and emails, we have this week received a refund of €2,500.
As you suggest in the article, 2016 has not been reimbursed. So, a refund of almost all we had claimed even though it did take 18 months. Thanks again!
