Which countries are quarantining travellers from France?
Countries around the world are revising their quarantine and travel rules for travellers arriving from France as coronavirus cases rise in the country.
A new map from public service media source FranceInfoshows which countries are imposing travel restrictions, such as quarantine, on arrivals from France.

Countries marked in yellow are imposing obligatory quarantines. Countries in blue are testing travellers from France for Covid-19 on arrival. Countries in orange have closed their borders to arrivals from France, with some exceptions. Countries in red have closed their borders to travellers from France.
Travel guidelines are updated frequently. For more detailed country-specific information, check the French Diplomacy website.
Travellers are also advised to check the terms of their travel insurance with their insurance provider before travelling overseas.
Obligatory quarantine for travellers from France
These countries are imposing quarantines of up to 14 days for visitors from France. While some quarantines are self-policed, others are much stricter and may result in legal consequences for anyone who doesn’t comply.
Africa: Botswana, Ethiopia, Lesotho, Niger, Mozambique, Tunisia
Americas: Ecuador, Haiti, Peru, Uruguay
Asia: Brunei, China, Papua New Guinea, South Korea, Taiwan,
Europe: Armenia, Estonia, Finland, Holland, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, the UK, Ukraine
Middle East: Israel, United Arab Emirates
Tests on arrival for travellers from France
These countries will ask travellers from France to take PRC tests upon arrival. PRC tests involve taking a nasal swab. They show whether the person taking the test is infected with Covid-19 at the time the test is taken.
Africa: Benin, Djibouti, Liberia, Rwanda, Togo, Sierra Leone
Americas: Dominican Republic
Asia: Cambodia
Europe: Cyprus, Turkey
Middle East: Iran, Lebanon
Borders closed, with some exceptions, to travellers from France
Possible exceptions may include allowances for essential travel, family members of citizens of the country being visited, permanent residents or students studying in the country.
Africa: Angola, Guinea, Nigeria, Nigeria, Senegal, Zimbabwe
Americas: Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Canada, Chile, Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama

Borders closed to travellers from France
Borders of these countries are closed to travellers from France. However, those living in France who hold citizenship or permanent visas (such as a green card) for the country they wish to travel to may still be authorised to travel.
Africa: Cameroon, Central African Republic, Eritrea, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Libya, Malawi, Mauritania, Morocco, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Uganda
Americas: Columbia, Honduras, Paraguay, Surinam, Trinidad and Tobago, the US
Asia: Bhutan, North Korea
Australasia: New Zealand
Europe: Moldova, Russia
Middle East: Azerbaijan, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan
Countries not on the list
Countries not on the list either have no restrictions for those travelling from France or may require documentation upon arrival such as a negative PCR test taken in the days before travel.
