How to change your address in France
An online French government form informs multiple bodies at once - social security offices, EDF and Engie, the tax office and more - of your change of address

Moving house can be stressful – and the related admin of having to inform authorities and suppliers of your new address adds to the workload.
Several readers have contacted The Connexion worried about who they have to inform, and the timeline, after the publication in our March edition and online of the article: Why your address in France may change.
The article highlighted the problems faced by people living in smaller communes which may not have accurate or up-to-date street names and where addresses may be changing. The good news is there is a simple, single, online government form that will do a lot of the work for you – informing social security offices, energy utilities EDF and Engie, Pôle emploi, the tax office and vehicle registration offices at once.
It can also be used to advise certain local authorities of changes of address.
You can use the same form to change email address, as well as fixed or mobile phone numbers within France.
The service is not available for anyone leaving France, or for those moving to France from another country.
